What is North Texas SHARE?

North Texas SHARE is a cooperative purchasing program created by the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG).  Although SHARE is new, the NCTCOG has a long history of shared services and cooperative purchases on behalf of our members.

Am I required to have a username/login?

No.  In an effort to be transparent, SHARE does not require a username of login to view SHARE contracts or related contract information.

Is my organization eligible to purchase through the SHARE program?

An organization is eligible to participate if it is:

  • A county; an incorporated city, municipality, town, or village
  • An authority, district or other political subdivision of the state
  • Anon-profit organization providing governmental services

Do I have to be a member of the North Central Texas Council of Governments to participate?

No.  You do not have to be a NCTCOG member to participate in the SHARE program.  Please see the I want to buy page for more information on what organizations are eligible to participate.

How do I make a purchase?

First, confirm your organization has an executed SHARE Master Interlocal Agreement.  Visit the contract-specific webpage for the contract your organization is interested in utilizing.  Each contract page has a section titled “Ready to Purchase?” which contains specific instructions on purchasing using that contract.

What does it cost to participate in SHARE?

There is no cost for an organization to purchase using SHARE contracts.  Vendors are charged a minimal fee to offset the cost of administering the program.

What are the benefits of purchasing through SHARE?

SHARE allows you all of the benefits associated with cooperative purchases including, but not limited to:

  • Reduced administrative efforts
  • Simplified procurement processes
  • Access to quality contracts and qualified vendors
  • Receive services and products faster
  • Competitive volume pricing rate
